Our specialty instant rice line is the widest in the industry as includes arborio, red, black, wild, jasmine and basmati. All of these varieties cook in 4 to 10 minutes.

A specially precooked, long-grain white rice that requires no actual cooking as it rehydrates readily within five minutes of adding hot water; an excellent choice for microwave and meal-in-a-cup applications. Available for purchase in both enriched and non-enriched forms.

Parboiled white, brown, basmati, jasmine and arborio are specially-prepared rice varieties that are first parboiled and then precooked to produce instant rice. All of these varieties cook in 3 to 10 minutes.

To reduce the rehydration time to 2-3 minutes, our whole grain white rice is specially precooked and milled into granuales that are ½ to ¾ the size of the original kernal.

Since parboiling partially gelatinizes the starch in the grain, our rice is more resistant to overcooking or over processing. Our parboiling process consists of steeping rough rice in hot water, steaming under carefully controlled conditions before it’s dried and milled in the conventional manner.

A nutritious, high-quality rice that contains all of the natural vitamins and minerals found in the bran layers and germ. We remove only the outer hull of the rice granule to preserve the grain’s high protein and fiber content.

A special variety of long grain rice that was originally developed to withstand canning and retort processes while maintaining an excellent texture, mouth feel and grain shape. Available in both white and brown varieties, Dixibelle rice is contract grown and specially handled as we process, store, and package it to maintain its grain identity; perfect for use in canned soups, rice mixes in retort pouches, or products that require extra processing.

Our instantized, parboiled brown rice greatly reduces cooking time to 10 to 15 minutes, improves the shelf life of the grain and ensures a uniform cooking quality. Brown rice is a great choice for high protein and fiber meals.

Ideally suited for use as an ingrediant in dehydrated foods, this rice has a low moisture level that reduces moisture migration from rice to seasonings.

The 10 minute rehydration time of this rice is quick and easy compared to regular parboiled rice and is available in enriched and non-enriched forms.

The soft, creamy texture of arborio makes it the preferred rice for risotto, but it can also be enjoyed on its own. 

Available in forbidden rice and nerone, black rice has a nutty, earthy flavor and a very subtle interior.

A deliciously aromatic long grain rice. Basmati rice is a grain that has an irresistable taste.  This product is imported from India and Pakistan.

Red rice is a variety of rice that is colored red by its anthocyanin content. It has a sweet and nutty flavor with a more chewy texture than white polished rice.

Jasmine is a special long grain rice variety imported from Thailand.  Also known as aromatic, fragrant or scented rice, jasmine has a naturally occurring scent that is released during cooking. Once cooked, it has a white color, soft texture and fluffy grain. This rice is a great compliment to Asian style dishes.

Wild Rice is also known as the “Caviar of Grains,” and features a unique roasted, smokey and nutty flavor. Our Grade A Wild Rice cooks in 50-60 minutes and ranges from dark brown to black in color with each granule holding a glossy sheen.

Also ranging from dark brown to black in color, this wild wild rice is our most versatile grade. It cooks in 30-40 minutes and makes an excellent side dish when paired with wild game, duck, pheasant, pork and seafood⁠—especially salmon.

Our scarified rice cooks rapidly in just 20-25 minutes. This variety ranges from dark brown to black in color, and features visible hairline scratches on the bran layer which allow it to absorb water more readily. 

This premium wild rice is the most tender of all grades and cooks in just 20 minutes. The color of this grain ranges from light brown to brown. Like all wild rice, it is well known for being highly nutritious: it is high in potassium and phosphorus and free of sodium, fat and cholesterol.

Our cracked, or broken, wild rice cooks quickly and is done in 20 minutes. This rice includes a mixture of different grades and is light to dark brown in color. Like all of our wild rice, it pairs excellently with mushrooms, cranberries, apricots, nuts and honey.

Our precooked and dehydrated rice retains its excellent texture and uniformity while cooking in just 5-10 minutes. This rice is dark brown in color and, like all of our wild rice varieties, is perfect for use in soups, salads, stuffings and dressings.

This unique black rice is naturally grown in Canada’s lakes and rivers. It ranges from dark brown to charcoal in color, has a long, slender kernel and cooks in 60-70 minutes.
